A stable, bitumen/water emulsion reinforced with cellulose fibres. It is dark brown in colour, with heavy brushing consistency and dries to a black flexible coating. • General waterproofing: For use on such materials as concrete, roofing felt, mastic asphalt, corrugated iron, slates, tiles, lead, copper and zinc as a water and moisture barrier.
• Metal protection: Provides protection against corrosion of pipes, structural steelwork and other metallic equipment.
• Preparation: Clean off all moss, dirt and loose material. Prime with KOLASCOTE T3 and allow to dry.
• Application: Apply by brush, a minimum of two coats at 0.75 kg/m² per coat. KOLASCOTE T5 may be applied to damp surfaces, although both coating and surface must be able to dry before the emulsion will cure to a waterproof film. Allow 24 hours between coats and apply each coat at right angles to the previous coat. For maximum strength and durability, the coating can be reinforced with an open woven glass fibre membrane. Protect from rain until cured.
