This plane is designed to cut accurate rabbets and fillisters up to 1½ in. (38mm) in width. Two cut iron positions are provided, the forward position for bull nose work and the rear position for normal rabbeting and fillistering. When used in the rear position the cut iron is screw adjusted and is fed into the work with an accurate, positive and easy control. A hardened steel spur is fitted to assist in rabbeting across the grain and the fully adjustable depth gauge is removable. The adjustable fence supplied may be used on either side of the plane and two fence arms simplify accurate setting and control. The base and sides are ground and polished.
