APP MEMBRANE ANTI-ROOT 10SQM ROLL
HIGH QUALITY ANTI-ROOT APP MEMBRANE MINERAL FINISH 10 SQM ROLLS IN NAIROBI, KENYA
The Anti-root APP Waterproofing membrane's double function of waterproofing and resistance to plant roots makes it suitable for use on buildings with roof gardens, on planters, on subways, and for greening underground building roofs. The Modified APP Membrane has excellent resistance to root penetration thus it is referred to as the anti-root APP waterproofing membrane. It has a special chemical composition that ensures it is environmentally safe and will not harm plants. The membrane has a thermal resistance under a wide range of temperature fluctuation meaning they can be used in extreme weather conditions. They are also resistant to mold, weathering and corrosion thus have a long life span. It is APP (Atactic Polypropylene) or SBS (Styrene Butadiene Styrene) modified, special anti-root additives content, torchon plastomeric or elastomeric waterproofing membranes with non-woven spunbond polyester felt; both sides are coated with polyethylene film. It can be applied to structural details of gardens, terraces and terrace roofs, and it eliminates the risk that plant roots damage through the waterproofing coating.
APP membrane is the most commonly used waterproofing material on concrete roofs and low-slope roofs. APP membrane is applied to asphalts with a torch. Applications of APP membranes aren't limited to just roofs. The APP membrane, short for Atactic Polypropylene Membrane, is a special waterproofing material that is manufactured from Bitumen. They comes in rolls.

KEY BENEFITS & FEATURES OF ANTI-ROOT APP MEMBRANES:
- Flexible and long lasting.
- Easy to applied on different kind of substrates.
- Has high elongation and tensile strength.
- Resistant to aggressive effect that may come from the soil.

SURFACE PREPARATION & APPLICATIONS:
Application substrate should be cleaned off loose pieces, oil and other chemicals. Surface defects are repaired with the suitable REPAMERK repair mortars, corners are chamfered with bitumen fillet tape(flashband - Ali Glaziers Ltd supply a wide range of tape sizes). Before the application Bitumen Primer is applied as a primer to obtain better finish. 10 cm overtopping shall be allowed for joints and 15 cm overtopping for ends by using welding torch. The surface coated with mineral stone on joints should be heated and minerals should be buried in to the bituminous surface by using trowel before welding the joints together. The transverse joints of the first layer covering should be laid down in an offset position. For the top layer, longitudinal and transverse joints of the first layer should be centered. Roof covers should be laid perpendicular to the slope from the point where the slope is lowest.
